FAQ:Frequently Asked Questions |
 WHAT IS
COLLEGIATE ENTREPRENEURS? Collegiate Entrepreneurs
hires college students for summer employment. All students are
trained and certified prior to the summer. We offer a 1 YEAR
GUARANTEE on our workmanship for 1 coat of paint and a 2 YEAR
GUARANTEE for 2 coats; we are fully insured with WORKERS
COMPENSATION AND $1 MILLION LIABILITY INSURANCE.
We give FREE ESTIMATES on both INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR
painting.
DO YOU ESTIMATE HOURLY
OR BY THE JOB? Estimates are done by the job. We can
not give estimates over the phone or online. We pride ourselves on
giving accurate, quantitative estimates and this is only possible by
visiting the property.
ARE YOU
LESS EXPENSIVE THAN OTHER CONTRACTORS? We are very
competitive. When comparing prices of different contractors, keep in
mind insurance coverage as well as if the work is guaranteed with a
warranty. Be sure to check the insurance documents, both workers
compensation as well as general liability to be sure you would not
be responsible in the case of an accident.
WHEN IS PAYMENT DUE? A 20% deposit is
due upon signing the contract. Once the job is completed, the
payment is due in full.
HOW CAN I
PAY FOR THE JOB? We accept Cash and Checks, as well as
Visa and MasterCard for your convenience. All Checks must be payable
to Collegiate Entrepreneurs in order for the contract to be
valid.
WHO SUPPLIES THE
PAINT? We supply all paint and materials. We use
Sherwin-Williams and Glidden top-of-the-line paints . Customers may
supply their own paint, although unless it is a top-of-the-line
brand that we use, the paint will not be guaranteed by our
company.
CAN I GET AN ESTIMATE
OVER THE PHONE? No. A manager will have to come take a
look at the work to be done. Each house is different - depending on
the preparation work, number of coats required, etc. It would be
unfair and misleading to give a figure over the
phone.
DO YOU USE
SUB-CONTRACTORS? No. The nature of our business is
that college students are running their own business for the summer,
gaining real-world experience and making money to pay tuition in the
fall. They are responsible for hiring their own team of painters,
all of who are fully trained and certified.
